Collaborative Processes in Industry: Computer Supported Cooperative Work and Traceability
نویسنده
چکیده
This article presents the contribution of Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) research to the development of collaborative processes within an industrial organization. People usually work in a social context where everyone contributes to the evolution of the whole. A decision emerges from the incremental integration of several mini-decisions. This collaborative process is either formal or informal. New information technology supporting networked groups is currently being used and refined according to its usability and usefulness. Since its beginning, CSCW has been developed by computer and social scientists as well as psychologists and anthropologists. It may lead to very different approaches according to culture. Collaborative work has emerged from the evolution of both society and technology. Software technology that supports group interaction is usually called groupware.

Issue-Based Collaborative Process Modeling
This paper describes research work on collaborative process modeling and model-based computer support. It shows how collective issue resolutions can be modeled in the context of collaborative processes, and how other collaboration structures, such as negotiation and negotiated contracts, derive from that primitive structure. These ideas are illustrated through CPCE, which is a generic process-c...
متن کاملMeta-modelling for cooperative processes
Cooperative work techniques are becoming very important in organisations as well as in the information systems community. The Computer Supported Cooperative Work(CSCW) discipline makes the assumption that collaborative work and processes can be supported by software tools. This requires among others to develop models able to represent cooperative work processes. In this paper we propose a meta-...
متن کاملA meta-model for goal-driven cooperative work processes
The Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) discipline examines the possibilities and effects of technological support for humans involved in collaborative group communication and work processes. Organizations are built on the principle that groups of people can carry out tasks which are not feasible individually. For many of them, well-structured and ill-structured procedures coexist in wor...

The principles and technologies of computer supported cooperative work (CSCW) are increasingly integrated in many areas to support distributed collaborative production, especially with the rapid growth of the Internet and broadband network technologies. To achieve the improved efficiency and productivity, group processes and interaction must be properly addressed and the design of supporting co...
